
KarSU Achieves Stronger Global Standing in Times Higher Education Impact Rankings
The results of the Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings 2025 were officially announced during the Global Sustainable Development Congress held in Istanbul, Turkey. These prestigious rankings assess universities based on their tangible contributions to society and the environment, aligning with the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) established by the United Nations. Karshi State University made notable progress in this year’s rankings, securing a position among the top 1500 universities worldwide—a significant improvement compared to last year. In 2024, the university was recognised in five SDG categories within the Top 1000. This year, that number has increased to nine SDGs, reflecting a steady upward trajectory.
The university received strong results in the following categories:
Life Below Water – ranked 601+
Life on Land – ranked 601–800
Zero Hunger – ranked 601–800
Affordable and Clean Energy – ranked 601–800
Responsible Consumption and Production – ranked 801+
Clean Water and Sanitation – ranked 801–1000
Climate Action – ranked 801–1000
Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure – ranked 801–1000
Sustainable Cities and Communities – ranked 801–1000
In the remaining eight categories, the university also earned a place in the 1000–1500 range.
These results underscore Karshi State University’s commitment to social responsibility, environmental sustainability, and its ongoing investment in innovation—a testament to its growing impact on both a local and global scale.
